Internal Medicine Track Internship:
Print
The internal medicine track internship will fulfill the requirements of
the first year of internal medicine residency. During the track
internship, interns will attend all medicine functions such as Journal
Club and Harrison’s Book Club. Interns will participate in an internal
medicine continuity ambulatory clinic one half day each week.
Traditional Rotating Internship:
A traditional rotating internship does not fulfill the requirements of the
first year of internal medicine residency training even if the internship
was completed at our institution. Credit may be allowed on a month-to
month basis for training in internal medicine and its subspecialties if
approved by the program director. Requirements for advanced placement are
detailed in the ACOI Basic Standards for Residency Training in Internal
Medicine.
