Out Rotations:

All out rotations must be approved, before being scheduled by the
Director/Administrative Director, with Program Director approval.
Endocrinology and Rheumatology are required out rotations. (Any rotations
scheduled by the resident, not following the guidelines, will be at the
expense of the resident.) Educational stipend money can be used to pay any
expenses not covered by IRMC. Out rotation reimbursement amounts may
be increased or decreased at the discretion of IRMC; Medical Education and
Finance.
Residents at Ingham Regional Medical Center are allowed to take rotations
at other institutions for no more than three months during the residency.
These outside rotations must be approved by the program director as well
as the Director of Medical Education, and an affiliation agreement must be
executed between the institutions. Funding for these rotations may be
taken from the educational stipend given the each resident at the
beginning of the year. An additional $500 stipend for travel and lodging
expenses MAYBE available if the rotation is required for graduation but
cannot be completed locally.
