Residency

This program is currently designed for eight
residents. Your first year of residency will focus primarily on
obstetrics with emphasis on both normal and high-risk patients.
Additionally you will spend a significant amount of time in
gynecological surgery. Your second through forth years will be focused
more on surgery with specialty emphasis. Labor & Delivery night call
schedule is covered in a two-week block schedule fashion. Residents
work under the supervision of thirteen OB/GYN physicians from multiple
practices in the Lansing area. This provides a wide diversity of
exposure to patient populations.
Residents enjoy their own work/study
accommodations, private sleep rooms, and free meals when in house.
There is a large private selection OB/GYN references for the residents
as well as a fully staffed hospital library with technical support
services.
